The Rocher Mistral park at the Château de La Barben welcomes you between Aix and Salon-de-Provence.
Access to the car park is from the château at 2300 route du château, 13330 La Barben.

How long does it take to visit Rocher Mistral Park?
Between 4 and 6 hours
To visit the Rocher Mistral park, you should count about 4h, the time to discover all the shows during the day, the Provencal market and to enjoy the sumptuous setting offered by the castle of La Barben.
Concerning the evening offer, from 6pm, you can access the Provencal market and the Auberge Daudet. The shows “Fairyland in the Le Nôtre gardens” and “Napoléon : the Eagle and the Muse” starts at nightfall and lasts half an hour.

It is possible to picnic at the Rocher Mistral. The Provencal market offers a large space with picnic tables, deckchairs, a petanque field and animations.

Take exit E80/A54 towards Salon-de-Provence/Arles/Nîmes/Barcelona. Take exit n°15 towards Pélissanne, then follow Pélissanne to Pélissanne. Coming to the park by bus
During the holidays, a bus on demand is offered by La Métropole Mobilité. It links the Salon de Provence bus station to the Château and the Zoo of La Barben:
- During school holidays: Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 7pm;
- Outside school holidays: Wednesday and Saturday from 9.30am to 7pm ;
- Sundays and public holidays: no transport on demand service.

From the city of Aix-en-Provence, take the A8/E80 freeway towards Salon-de-Provence/Avignon/Nîmes/La Fare-les-Oliviers. Continue on the A8 and then take the E80/A54 exit in the direction of Salon-de-Provence/Arles/Nîmes/Barcelona. Take exit n°15 towards Pélissanne, then follow Pélissanne to Pélissanne. Then follow La Barben and Château de La Barben/Parc Zoologique.
Journey without toll : 30 minutes
From the city of Aix-en-Provence, join the N296/E712 then follow Saint-Cannat until Saint-Cannat via the D2N. In Saint-Cannat, follow the direction of Pélissanne/Château de La Barben/Parc Zoologique.

Accessibility in the Rocher Mistral Park
For people with reduced mobility
A privileged access is reserved for vehicles of people with reduced mobility. It is located on the castle road, click here to see the location on the map.
The site is partially accessible to wheelchair users and people with walking difficulties (+200 steps): for the inaccessible spaces, a virtual reality experience is proposed at the entrance of the castle.
Accessible shows: Double Edged, The builders quest, The breath of Provence, The parish priest of Cucugnan, Master Cornille’s secret, Tartarin of Tarascon, the Evening Entertainment, the Cascarelettes Bell, the Fairyland in the Le Nôtre Gardensan, and Napoléon : the Eagle and the Muse.
Shows inaccessible to wheelchair users and people with walking difficulties: Forbin and the royal navy, the Uprising of the Cascavèu. However, you have the possibility to discover these shows in virtual reality in a dedicated space.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in the park but guide dogs are welcome.
For very young children
The park is obviously accessible to families with young children. However, it is recommended to come with a baby carrier rather than a stroller, as the castle of La Barben has many stairs.
The shows Forbin and the royal navy and the Uprising of the Cascavèu may impress children under 6.

Concierge service and luggage storage
To date, Rocher Mistral Park does not offer luggage storage or concierge services.
Night parking for motorhomes
The Rocher Mistral parking lot does not currently accommodate caravans and motor homes overnight. A free motorhome area exists in Pélissanne (13330), 2-10 Chemin de la Prouvenque.
Ticketing and payment methods
What payment methods are accepted at the park's ticket office?
The park ticket office accepts payment by credit card, cash and vacation vouchers (ANCV and ANCV Connect).
Can I buy my tickets on the online ticketing service to come on the same day?
You can buy dated tickets at the latest the day before your visit. If you have not been able to buy your date tickets before your visit, you are invited to go directly to the park’s ticket office.
